Every human has the strength within to build a life of greater joy, peace, and purpose. I believe that an effective therapist serves as a mirror, affording you more clarity as to who you are and what you desire. I walk alongside my clients but steer away from giving advice. While gently challenging you to examine your fears and explore the unpleasant, I intend to help you make peace with them and minimize their impact on your quality of life. I've worked with a wide variety of mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, panic, grief, substance misuse, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.
I employ a mixture of approaches as client and situation demand. I also have specialized training in trauma and insomnia. Regardless of the presenting symptoms, we are dynamic, ever-changing beings and there’s rarely a one-size-fits-all approach to growth.
You will always be the foremost expert on yourself and thus the author of the chapters yet to be written; if you'll allow it, I could serve as your editor. The essence of therapy is the collaboration between client and therapist. Listening, learning, and reflection are the most valuable services I provide. What is therapy? It is the greatest act of self-love.
